I saw the stars scattered in bits and pieces, hiding and peeking behind thousands of tree branches.

I remember the feelings of peace and hope that filled my soul as I walked down those winding graveled roads.

I remember taking my eyes off those stars, and losing my step as I gazed into the shadows.

The shadows were always dark, yet I never feared their mysteries.

Somehow the sparkles in the night sky always led me to the sacred fire circle.

I could hear the echos of my friends' songs in the wind. Their harmonized voices broke through the tall trees.

I remember walking with the boy with the guitar.
I remember falling in love with him, while he sang hes favorite song, "My Heart's Desire."

Those tall trees still stand-the stars have lost their glow. I still hear the whispers in the wind. But-I can't hear the boy's song anymore.
